WOOL MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following * cable from their London house: —There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being active. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. Aβ compared with last sales closing rates prices are about the same for fine crossbred and medium crossbred, about par to 5 per cent, lower for coarse crossbred, about 5 per cent, higher for greasy merino. America is buying suitable lots of crossbred. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON. March 10. A supplementary cablegram from the High Commissioner in connection with the opening of the London wool sales states that the New Zealand wool catalogued for the series amounts to 76,800 bales. FROZEN MEAT. (Per Peess association.) NAPIER, March 10. The C.C. and D. Co., London, to-day cabled the following report on the frozen meat market: —The market continues firm and to-day prices are: — Mutton, Canterbury 4gd, Napier, Wellington, and North Island 3|d, lamb. first quality s|d, second s&d.
