REMANDED FOR SENTENCE.

(Per Press association.) TAIHAPE, March 8. Leonard Lotter, late manager or Mr C. Lawson's store here, arrested in Wellington last week, was brought iip to-day on a charge of forging and uttering' a cheque for £5, purporting to be drawn on Lawson. Jie pleaded guilty, and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence. He was also remanded to Palmereton North on a charge of false pretences.
