ARREST OF A YOUTH

.Per Peiss Association.) HAMILTON. Feb. 10. John Minton Paull. a lad. has been arrested in connection with the Mystery Creek affair. ■ It is alleged that he was seen on horseback in the vicinity of the spot where the bank clerk was fired at, and the-gun found is said to correspond with one in his possession previously. HAMILTON, Feb. 11. John Minton Paull was before the Court this morning charged with shooting with intent to murder. The police asked for a remand for a week. Accused's counsel did not object, but applied for bail, which was refused. Paull is about 19 years of age, and was employed by a local firm of grain merchants as a junior clerk. The affair has created a profound sensation, as accused is well known locally.
