ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

(Peb Pbess Association.) TAIHAPE, Feb. 10. A coloured man named George Ward, a teacher of boxing and well known in the district, was seen yesterday behaving in a wild manner in the bed of a stream at Ohuta, sparring at the water and making wild plunges. Suddenly he was missed. The police were informed, and two constables searched the stream till dark without result, Search will be continued to-day, but owing to the deep pools and difficulty of access doubts are felt as to the success of the search.
