The conduct of the Post Office employees throughout the inundations led to the ro-instatemcnt of the postmen dismissed in the May strikes. The Canadian contribution of 110,000 dollars to the flood fund was unanimously voted. The Mikado sent £800. The contributions in France and abroad total £300,000. . . , , • The authorities are feeding, clothing and lodging thousands daily.
