COLONISATION SCHEMES.
(By Electric Telegraph—copyright.} (Peh Pbess Association.) Received February 7, 8.40 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 6. Lord Strathcona disapproves of Sir Reginald Enoch's scheme of colonial settlement. Captain Collins said Australia did not want colonies for the unemployed of the cities. He urged a system like the Rev. Gwynne's. Mr Hall-Jones, Now Zealand High Cojnmiseioner, favoured individual rather than collective settlements.
