THE MISSING WARATAH.
A SECOND SEARCH. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) {Pee Press Association.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 10. The committee of citizens have accepted the offer of the steamer Wakefield to search for the Waratah. The Wakefield will leave Durban at the end of January, and will exhaustively search the Marion, Crozet and- Kerguelcn Islands, and be tween Kerguelcn and the Australian coast. For the search of the Islands she will be paid £3000, and for a months cruise of the coast ea6t of Kerguelcn a further £1850. The committee is also of opinion that the search should be extended for another month and a price will be fixed. An Admiralty officer accompanies the Wakefield and acts as representative of the Committee. It is estimated that the cruise will cost £500 mere than the Committee has in hand.. Relatives in England of the Waratah's passengers have guaranteed £2000 towards the outlay
