WELLINGTON SIISTEPSKIN, HIDE, AND TALLOW SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as under: At our sale on Friday we brought forward a large catalogue of skins and hides, tind a small quantity of tallow. There was a numerous attendance of buyers, - and competition was keen for all sound lots of skins'and hides, but faulty lots were neglected. Since 29th January, when the last sale of dry skins was hold locally, prices have advanced about id per lb for sound skins, and prices for good hides are about equal to sale of 12th February, but sound calfskins are about lower. We quote: — Sheepskins: Fine crossbred, 6£d to 7d; coarse and medium crossbred, to 6d; lambs, 4£d to 6^d; dead and broken I skins, 3-id to sd; pelts, sound, 3|d to 43d; pelts, faulty, Id to 3^d; pelts, green, Iβ 9d to 2s lid each; lamb skins, green, Is 9d to 2a 6d each. Hides: Ox, medium, to 6d; cow, heavy, 5 s d _ to 53d; cow and ox. light, 5d to s ? d; damaged hides, 2d to 4|d; calfskins, sound, 6d to 7£d; calfskins, faulty, 2d to Tallow: In casks in shipping order, £23 10s to £24 5s per ton.

WOOL SALES. Dalgefy and Company, Ltd., report: — We lickl 11 supplementary wool snlo which was Ihc fifth of the season. The total offering from all brokers amounted to 1891 balee. of which we contributed 951 and sold 803. There was a representative attendance of buyers from all parts and competition was animated throughout the sale. Practically no good wool was offering, but medium crossbrotls brought from par to i<l per lb in advance of February rates. Lambs wool was slightly easier. Pieces of all descriptions also showed an advance on tho last sale rates.
