DARING ATTEMPT AT ROBBERY.
FOUR FATALITIES RESULT.
(By Electbio Telegraph—Copybiqht.) (Peb Press Association.) Received January 25, 8.25 a.m. LONDON, January 24. Two Russian workmen held up a motor car at Tottenham. The occupants of the car had a bag containing 10U sovereigns and tht> Russians seized the money. They were armed with revolvers and when their operations attracted a crowd they attempted to escape. The crowd gave chase and the Russians fired indiscriminately .frequently reloading. They killed a policeman and a boy. I , , On reaching Walthamstow they boarded a tram car firing at the passengers*. The police followed in a motor "car. Finding that their pursuers were gaining one of the Russians blew out i his brains oh the road. The other took refuge in a house and shot himself mortally. The Russians were employed in a. Tottenham factory and knew that it w T as the custom to bring £100 in the motor car to pay the wages with.
