FOOTBALL.

A Linton correspondent writes: —A meeting was-held at Mr G. J. Ward's on Saturday evening, when it was decided to form a football club, to be called the Linton Rovers. There was a large attendance, no less than 26 joining in the room, while residents in different parts of the district are sending in their names as members. It was decided at the meeting to hold a social and dance in aid of the club on Friday, 3rd April, when a most enjoyable evening should be spent. Mr G. J. Ward was appointed hon. secretary.
