THE HAYTI INCIDENT.

When the British cruiser Indefatigable arrived at Port-au-Prince the firing* of a salute caused intense excitement. Tho natives feared a bcmbardinent had begun. The incident saved the execution of Lieut. Larraque. Tho New York Herald states that tho refugees from Gonaivcs, including General Firmin. are on board the French cruiser Destrees. The Powers had threatened to depose President Alexis and create a provisional government, and expressed disapproval of further executions.
