MACMAHON'S PICTURE DRAMA.
TONIGHT.
The members of Messrs Macmahon's famous Living Picture organisation, of which "Robbery Under Arms" is a distinctive feature, arrived ip" Palmerston this morning.' Included in tile entourage is, a complete electrical/and mechanical staff and a powerful engine and dynamo employed in the production of the pictures, a remarkable result being the entire abolition of the old-time objectionable "flicker." This is achieved by means of specially devised electrical gear, which is the most recent and obviously most valuable development in the ever-advanc-ing evolution of the cinematograph. The effect is everywhere said to be of the most surprising and gratifying character. The tour of the organisation has so far been one unbroken series of successes, runs of twelvfe and thirteen successive nights having been recorded respectively in Auckland and Wellington. The Palmerston season is limited to tonight and to-morrow.
