The challenge issued by eight Scotsmen in this town to play a game of bowls with a like number of any other nationality was accepted on Saturday, the Scotsmen winning by 33. The following are the scores: —J. Young (skip) Scotland 24 v. C. Smith (skip) All-comers 15; W. L. Scott ■ (skip) Scotland 34 v. F. Mowlem (skip) All-comers 10. Scotland thus won by 58 to 25.
