Bruges, barrister and solicitor, 'held to-day, a motion was adopted that bankrupt should submit to public examination before a judge of the Supreme Court. GISBORNE, April 2. r 'At a largely attended meeting of the East Coast Railway League this afternoon, it was resolved That this League views .with the greatest satisfaction the activity displayed by the Railway Leagues of Auckland and Bay of Plenty, and that it will be glad to have the fullest informal on as t® the views of tKese Leagues and is thereafter prepared to join those Leagues in a deputation to Parliament to secure increased votes for the prosecution of railway works on lines to be suggested by the joint Leagues.
