Training Notes.

J.Prosser and Cutts were the first to commence operations this morning, the former sending Achilles six furlongs at threequarter pace, Waitarere following, also by himself, over seven furlongs at medium pace. The southern horses did medium pace work, each pf them moving freely and evidently enjoying their tasks. They present a very forward appearance, Glenowlet especially. Solution took lmin 19sec to traverse six furlongs on the grass, Tupono joining her at the five-furlong post. The •bay. mare,had the best of the gallop, j Sir Tristram by himself strode over five furlongs in lmin 9sec on the outside of the course proper. Miss Lancelot and Hippodrome went seven furlougs at threequarter pace, the filly having the best of the gallop. Gold Diredge and Melodeon ran abdiitf six and a-half furlongs, the latter finishing just in front of the Gold Beef gelding. English; Channel left four furlongs behind in excellent style, running clean away from a stable mate. Flanagau and Mimiha did twice round on the inside at a strong pace. Gold Crown moved freely in a six furlong .gallop. King Billy, by himself, got over five furlongs in lmin B^sec. S. Waddell gave his ieam useful work, iJimmerman and Ito each moving in very taking "style.
