Mr and Mrs C. Bauckham have returned from their visit to England; Mr and Mrs A. Ihlein left on Monday for a trip too. Mr Woods, of PoUangina, has disposed of his 50 acre dairy farm to Mr T.Bird. .. -S ..' ~ The result of the firing-for Mr Hanlon.'s trophy is as follows :—lst, Vol. S. Keeys, 78; Capt. Andrew, 74; Yol. Capp, 71. On Saturday next firing for Mr Grammer's trophy will be continued. Ammunition can be obtained from Lieut. Bowater. A meeting of the Sports Committee will be held in the .Library on Friday night at 7.30 p.m. Every member is requested to attend. One of the matters for consideration is the settlement of accounts in'r connection with - improvements to the recreation grpund. After an all too brief summer we are experiencing winter weather, aq,d snow has 'made its appearance on. the Euahine Range. ;
