Strand Theatre Comedy Company.
Miss Florence Lloyd, who takes a prominent part in ' The J..P.' at the Opera House on Tuesday nest, comes of a theatrical stock, her father, Samuel Lloyd, a -well-known actor in his day, having not only lived on the stage, but (literally) died on it. Miss Lloyd's earliest recollection is of an appearance as "Tiny Tim," so that by a strange coincidence this actress, afterwards to become famous for her boy impersonations, actually began her career in that way. Miss Lloyd visited America and Australia in 1895 with the " Gaiety Girl " Company and on her return to London she remained for four years at the Gaiety, and then had a long engagement at the Garrick. "In Town " was sent to America by Mr Edwardes with Mr Louis Bradfield as Captain ■Coddington, and Miss Lloyd as Lord Clanside, after which the actress created her present part in " The J.P." at the Strand Theatre, London, with Mr Lionel Kignold in the name-part. The plans are now rapidly- filling at Park's. .
