Stock Report.
Mr W. Rose reports as follows:— During the past fonnight I have held sales at Dannevirke, "Woodville and Ormondville, besides my fortnightly horse sale at Dannevirke. On Friday 1/ had a good yarding ot cattle, and though the attendance, was fair, the bidding at no time of the sale was spirited. However, as is nearly always the case, I practically cleared the yards after the sale. At Woodville on the 13th I had a fair yarding and cleared everything under the hammer. My horse srde on the 11th consisted of an entr^ far above the advertised number, although heavy draughts were not in great demand. I had a first rate sale at prices (taking them all round) rstther in favour of buyers. I quote as follows .-—Bullocks £6, fat cows £4 10s to £5, cows in calf £2 10s to £5, springing heifets £3 to £4, ' forward empty cows £3 5s to £3 10s, 3yr old steers £4 6s, 2£yr old stesrs £3 15s, ISmos steers and heifers £2 2s 6d, yearlings 30s to £2.
