The German torpedoer. S. 126 collided with the cruiser Undine in the Bay of Kiel. The boiler exploded and she sank. The accident occurred during a tactical night attack against the Undine, which was lightless. Thirtythree are missing. Mademoiselle Zanaiada Simoljaninoff, a beautiful and talented Russian, moving in the best circles in St. Petersburg and Berlin, has been sentenced to fifteen months' imprisonment at-Leip-zig for selling documents to a foreign government. The elite of Berlin were called as witnesses.

General Brugere, vice-president ot the Superior Council of War, has been placed under arrest for a fortnight for communicating to the newspapers particulars of a private interview with ~SL Etienne, Minister for War," who had smoothed over a quarrel between General Brngere and General Percin arising out of the Delation scandal. General Brugere admits the justice of the sentence.
