"When London Wakes."

Friday Next.

The benefit performance to the popular actress, Miss Irene Carlyon, promises to be most successful. The Key. Father Tymons has placed the Zealahdia Hall at Miss Garlyon's disposal free of cost. His Worship the Mayor and Mr W. T. Wood, M.H.R., have extended their patronage-and the splendid sale of tickets to date indicates a very large attendance of the general j-üblie. Mr Barrie Marschel will direct the play, and in conjunction with the favourite Eoscius Dramatic Company, specially augmented for the occasion, will support the benefieiare in the production of Mr Geo. ll. Sims' famous Adelphi drama "When London Wakes." The piece is in four acts and tells a thrilling story of life in the newBabylon and vividly depicts manypowerful scenes and incidents true to nature and full of human interest as they occur in mighty Loitdon day by day. The scenery will be special for the occasion. A particularly effective stage picture is an illuminated cloth, showing a view of St. Paul's Cathedral by moonlight with snow effects. A full orchestra -will attend to the musical portion- of the programme. Such a representation at popular prices cannot fail to draw a bumper house.
