Mr Alfred H. Burton, of Dnnedin, the well known elocutionist and exponent of English, literature, will give two lectures iv Palmerston, the dates selected being November Sth and 13th. lhe subject of the first lecture will be "The Women of Dickens," and the second " An evening with Thackeray." Mr Burton lectured in Palmerston some months ago when he created a most favourable impression. He will no doubt draw large audiences on his return yisit. c
