CIVIL CASES.
Judgment for the plaintiff for the amount claimed with costs was entered in the following undefended cases:— U.F.C.A. (Mr Loughnan) v. C. Nissen, £7 4s 7d, costs, 31s 6d; E. Gascoigne v. Arch. Smith, £11 10s 2d, costs, 15s ; E. Kirk (Mr Hurley) v. Geo. Trizzle, .£3 8s , Ba, costs, 10s ; U.F.C.A. (Mr Loughnan) v. C. H. Pearson, £7 9s Bd, costs, 23s 6d; D. Charker (Mr Mowlem) y. M. Todd, £5 8s Bd, costs, 23s 6d; J. J. Patterson (Mr Moore) v. H. L. Wolland, £60 12s, costs, £4; D. Charker (Mr Mowlem) v. W. Lewis, £2 6s 6d, costs, 10s; same v. Carmont, 18s Bd, costs, ss. DEPENDED CASES. J. Chambers (Mr Cooper) v. B. Andreson and J. J. Patterson (Mr Moore), claim £7S 0s 9d. The case was heard last €ouri day and judgment delivered this morning. The Court held that the defendants were partners in a sawmilling business and were carrying on business in common with a view of profit. The S.M. was also satisfied that the order given the plaintiff by Andreson was given on behalf of the partners and was supplied to the firm and not Mr Andreson. The article purchased was also of such a nature as to bind the firm. Judgment was therefore for the plaintiff for the amount claimed with costs of Court 435, solicitors' fee £& 13s. Defendants were allowed the costs of the previous hearing, £3 135. E. Kirk (Mr Hurley) v. J. L. Wiltshire (Mr Baldwin), claim £2 5s 3d,, value of goods sold. After hearing the evidence judgment was given for the defendant with costs, the S.M. deciding that Mrs "Wiltshire must be held the debtor.
