Meat Export Company's Waterloo Quay works could probiabJy be purchased, qud the capacity oi the same; !ho cost of working, and the probable revenue to be b_sed on a scale of charges at the Moturoa works."
Only two members opposed the motion, which was carried after a short discussion;
Letters were read from shaping companies, objecting to the reoan. increase in port charges,, and a committee was set up to consider-the advisableness of rescinding the .resolution increasing ihe harbour rate to 4d per ton on all goods, exceptingcoal, and that the wharfage on ballast and coal be reduced to. a smilar amount..
