Messrs Mounsey and Co.
Mounsey and Co. report the usual brisk business at their sale on Saturday. Pigs and poultry came forward in very large numbers, all pens beiug well occupied. A total clearance was made at satisfactory prices. We note that both pigs and poultry were a little easier, but higher prices, aie anticipated at next wi-ek's sale. Ducks and duckhrgs were eagerly sought after, as were all table fowls. The market was well represented with produce, wheat selling at 5s to os busbel, barley 3s, oats Is SJ to 2s 6d, pigmeal 12s 6d, pollard lls Od, table potatoes f2 losjo £3, pig do 30s. new do Id lb, onioiw Our quotations for poultry are—Ducks 4s to C<, ducklings Is to 3s, laying hens 3s to 4> lOd. cockerels 4s to G< <Jd, young birds 2s 2.1 to 3s 4d. We (Juole—Weaner pigs 10s to 17s, slips 18s to 20s. We also cleared a large quantity of household furniture and sundries.
