New Zealand hemp is firm. Fair Wellington, January-March shipment, £32 7s Gd.
The. Frozen Meat Association's Smithfield market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meats are based on actual sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 carcases of beef of of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly represeiitativeof the bulk of lhe shipments now on the market. New Zealand sheep, crossbred wethers a»d maiden, ewes, Canterbury, 3 15-16 d;. Dunedin and ■ Southland, 3Jd ; North Island, 3id ; lambs, Canterbury, 4|d Dunedin and Southland, 4-Sd ; North Island, 4Jd : New Zealand beef, ox fores, 180 to 220 lb, 22d ; ox hinds, 180 to 220 lb, ?46. River Plate sheep, heavy and light, 3d : ■beef, fores, .2-Id; hinds, 2-Jd.
