Captain Boulks, of the schooner Kolunderkut, was charged with murdering a coloured boatswain.The evidence showed- that tbe coloured crew were disobedient and he shot the boatswain in. self-de-fence, not intending to kill him. For nine days and nights he was sleepless, fearing, his crew would kill him. He kept the crew in. subjection at the point of a revolver, and brought the schooner into port in a dismantled condition. A verdict of justiliable homicide was returned.
