Action for Damages.

At Wellington yesterday the Chief Justice heard argument on certain law points raised in the recently-heard Palmerston North case, in which Charles Cameron, labourer, of Shannon, sought to recover £500 damages from the Makerua Estate Company,: Limited. The plaintiff claimed that he sustained injuries-through an explosion of dynamite by the company's servants while he was waiting to begin work for the defendants. Cooper, Palmerston North, on behalf of the plaintiff, and Mr Skerrett on the other side, his Honor reserved judgment.
