Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Local theatregoers are to be again favored with another visit from the popular ' Taylor-Carrington Company, who; will appear in the Theatre Royal on Monday evening next. The piece to be staged will be that favourite drama " Uncle Tom's Cabin:" In referring to the Taylor-Carrington Company's production pf this favourite play, one of our exchanges says:-—" This production of' Uncle Tom's Cabin' is wonderfully well staged. The snow aud, ice scenes in. the first act arc both realistic and beautiful, whilst the mountain scenes in the third act aro five specimen's of the scenic painter's art. The various impersonations of Mrs Stowe's famous characters (Topsy. Eva, Uncle Tom, Lsgree, George Harris, and Elizaj are almost life-like, and reflect credit upon the various performers. The audience wept at the death scenes of - Eva .• and. Uncle Tom; screamed with laughter at the antics of the bleck imp Topsy, arid applauded to the echo the sentiments of the kindly * quaker, Jfhineas FJetclier . arid the runaway slave George Harris."*
