Wellington, Tuesday. The Education Department is preparing manuals of physical drill, woodwork, and cardboard modelling for uso in tho schools throughout the colony. Physical drill is now compulsory, but manual drill is merely a suggestive work. Teachers will be permitted to use other books of instruction if they serve the purpose. Tho manual will be ready at an early date. - " ,
