Premier and Minister for Public Works in regard to the intention of the Government about the expenditure of £1000 on Ihe estimates for the Palmerston North Post Office. They both gave their assuranco that the amount was tbo first instalment and that tenders would shortly be lnyitcd for a brick building to cost between £3000 or £4000' ' As little would be required before the end of the financial year it'was not considered advisable to place more than'£looo on the estimates
