The total gold won by dredges in Otago and Southlaml since Jinuary Ist was 74,2820za lOprs 2i!dwts, as compared with 45,8020zs lUgrs lldwts for the corresponding period of lavt year, and 42,9G40zs for tho same period of 1000. Roughly, tho yield of gold from tho dredges this year is valued at J;283,483.
