Tho cattle sale yesterday was well attended, and prices about tho same as last week.
Mr Goodbehere invites tenders for a first-clasa dairy farm at Colyton, for a ti rm of 10 year.-1. As this property has a good 5-roomed house, and all the necessary buildings for milking, it ia a first-class opportunity for any person wanting a dairy farm.
The disputed residen.e of Mr Fairfield Thompson, on a section of tbe Aorangi estate, is set down for hearing on tbe 80th inst at Wellington. The first annual inspeotion of the Feilding Mounted Rifles will be- conducted by Colonel Hawaii and Lieut. Davis to-day. The Manawatu Mounted Rifles will parade with tbe Feilding corps, Major Dunk (Palmerston), and Lieut. Trail (Feilding), and will then undergo their examination for practical and field drill.
In the evening there will be a smoke concert in the Oddfellows' Hall, when the returned troopers belonging to tbe corps will be welcomed home.
