ADULTERATING JAM.

(Per Press Association) Dunedin, December 12. A prosecution has been instituted against the Phcenix Co., A. & J McFarlane, and Irvine and Stevenson for selling jams adulterated, as unadultered The proceedings are instituted under the Adulteration Acts. The offence consists ot the addition of the pulp of other fruit to jam to increase its bulk, but it is not claimed that the added -substance is injurious to health. All the eases were adjourned for a week.|
