The Queen's body will be removed to Windsor on February Ist, via London. The Channel squadron will escort Her Majosty's remains to Portsmouth. Tke funeral will start from Windsor and the interment will be at Froguiors (where the Priuce Consort is buried) on the 2nd. The Queen expressed <i wish for a military funeral, and this is interpreted 'as a proof of her love for the army of which she was technically the head. Received January 29, at 10.53 a.m. London, January '25. There will be no lying-in-State, beyond the coffin being a few days at Osborne in the dining room. The Duke of Norfolk notifies that it is expected, in pursuance of the order of the King in Privy Council yesterday, that all persons keep mourning from the 2Sth. ' • The Dutchjlchurches at the Cape are draped in black. The Dutch and British, for the first time for many years, are sincerely united in sorrow aud mourning". The burghers at Pretoria show respectful sympathy. Received January 29, at 12.21 a.m. London, January 25. Every available warship is assembling at Spithead to participate iu the Queen's funeral.

The following telegram has been forwarded to all representative men in the colony by the Acting-Premier:— " I have received official advice from London to-night that the funeral of Her late Majesty the Queen will take place on Saturday, the 2nd of February, and in consequence that day will be observed throughout the colony as a day of mourning. Public offices throughout the colony will be closed. ~ Sunday hours will be observed by all Post and Telegraph offices. A meeting of ministers of all the Protestant denominations have arranged to hold a combined memorial open-air service on Saturday afternoon.

Yesterday morning his Excellenoy the Governor received the following cablegram from the Secretary of State for the Colonies: —" His. Majesty the King and the Royal Family command me to express their sincere gratitude, in which His Majesty's Government join, for the sympathy of New Zealand on the lamented death of Her Majesty Queen Victoria."

The following cablegram, dated London, January 24, only reached his Excellency yesterday :—" Order for general mourning states that all persons are expected to put themselves into deepest mourning from the 28th January." His Excellency, has also 'received the following cablegram from the Secretary of State for the Colonies:—" His Majesty the King and Royal Family are very grateful for numerous manifestations of sympathy which have been received from colony New Zealand."
