A deputation of Maori chiefs and influential natives of Hie King Country waited upon Mr Seddon to-day and urged that licenses be granted in the King Country. Mr fcieddon in reply, said he had in his mind to hear what the other side had to say and also to aupoim a Roya.l Commission to go into the whole question before taking any definite steps.
