Accidents and Fatalities.

E. Tait bad his knee dislocated while play ing football at Waverley on Saturday.

(Per Press Association.)

Invercaegill, September.3.

A young man named Thomas Marisco wasroportod missing last week for several days. He turned up at Bdendale, 24 miles from town, on Saturday, and a constable accompanied him to Invercargill. He had been complaining of sleeplessness, but apparently his mental condition was not such as to warrant any doubt as to his sanity. He was allowed to go to the Bluff, where he had a relative named Valli, and in a bedroom in the latter's house he shot himself in the head with a fowling-piece this afternoon. He still lives, but cannot possibly recover.
