Mr R. E. Beckett reports :—
I held a very successful sale at Mai'ton on Tuesday last. The attendance was good and bidding for both cattle and sheep brisk. Hoggets were well represented, and sold readily under the hammer at full rates. Dairy cattle were keenly competed for. Quotations :—
Dairy cows, 4s to j;6; dairy heifers, £4 12s .6d to £4 17s; fat cows and heifers, £i 15s to £5 4s.
Wethers, 14s 3d to 14s 7a ; hoggets 8s 3d to 12s Id; forward ewes Ss lOd to 9s sd.
Weaner pigs, 6s to 7s Cd,
