PREMATURE REJOICINGS.
(Received May 19, at 9.55 a.m.) Sydney, May 19. News of Mafeking's supposed relief reached Cootamundra at three in the morning. The firebell rang and a halfdressed shivering crowd paraded. They then dispersed to their beds. Goulburn jubilations concluded with the burning of the effigy of Kruger. Everywhere patriotism is at fever heat.
