A. and P. Association.
The monthly meeting of the A. and P. Association Committee was held this afternoon. The President, Mr A, Russell, occupying the chair. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs McLennan, and Sewell, and leave of absence for six months was granted to Mr R. S. Abraham. Correspondence was received from Mr J. R. Blair, of Wellington, making a further explanation in reference to Lord Glasgow's Cup, and it was resolved to thank Mr Blair for his trouble, and to leave the matter in the hands of the Association's delegates attending the Agricultural Conference at Wellington. A letter was received from Walter Robinson, on behalf of the Alhambra _Cliib, asking for the use of the Show"grouftd on May 24th, on which to play a foAb&ll match against the Levin Club. ijtlllaydon supported the application, j^^f his contention was endorsed by Lancaster, Johnston and Pirani; KHU Messrs Wood, Hodder, Buchanan, IVheeler and Batchelar opposed it on the grounds that injury would be done to the buildings. After considerable disultory discussion, yj^requet Was ref usd bvl6 to 9.
