W. Waring Taylor Charged with Appropriating L 250 Worth of Shares.
ALLEGED MISAPPROPRIATIONS ,- AMOUNTING TO £10,000.

He was taken before the RedenjvMagistrate and charged on retnand with haying converted to his own; use 25 fully paid-up shares iv the bank of New Zealand (£250 ■worth),; 5 the property of Ernest Arundell, a legatee m the estate of James May y : deceased. Mr Edwin ( Jellicoe- appeared for the prosecution, and Mr E. Shaw for the defence. Mr Sb.aw applied that the case should be heard on.Wednesday next instead of Thursday, as had been arranged when the accused was brought up iuimediit"tely "after his arrest. Mr Jelhnoe offered ,rio, objection. Mr Shaw then 'applied 'tb:it his client- should be admitf.et%o bail. 3Htr Jellicoe said he had no objection to bail being allowed, but before hi* Worship decided m the matter it was necessary that he should understand the position of affairs. At the' present time there were three charges against accused^ the, tq^lal amount of moneys alleged tg hajre l^ejßii misappropriated being about. On , Monday other .charges^ involving .sums amounting - f td : abon i •'* £ 1 0,000, would ;be laid against' defendant. Having said this much he '(Mr Jellicoi^ would leave the matter m the hands xiftfte court.
