School Committee.
A meeting of the Palirierstoh School Committee was held lust evening. Present — Messrs Leary (chair), Wright, Stewart, Russell, Woodroofe, George aiid Hiiwfaris. The minutes of last meeting was read and continued. ' , I Mr Leary re.id his letter to. Mr ! Biiiden re instruction of Mr Mathie* son and Miss Astbury. Inspectpr re? ported Chat Mi 1 Bindon was agreeable to Mr Watson tcachiug ihese two. Mr Leary stated that bottles and building are removed^ and other matters attended to. . • ■•■ Mis' Harvey's report— Rqsolved; that report \ie received and Secretary write to Board for required ink-wells, 3 dozen. '■■ M o ved by Mr Itussel 1 seconded by Mr George— That a yote of tba,uks be, accorded to Mr Lin ton for his ness m sending a man to bury brokeu bottles at Terrace End School, Carried. Visiting Committee to look to the Terrace End urinal. Proposed by Mr Rufsell, seconded |by Mr Hawkins— That the Visiting Committee with the mover see to the rectifying- of the nuisance m the boys' urinal at the Central School at once. Carried. Mr Leary stated that Mr Watson requested him to extend the dinner hour to one hour and a quarter. Resolved that the Commute agree to this. I have to report for the last month an attendance ot 56 boys, and 6$ girls, with an average of 37 boys, and 44 girls* The old building at the back \of school has l)een ■ taken away. A fence is to be put up close to the school oh one isi'de, 1 \ichioh >■ vri\% 4»lce off office for boys. May I ask another ;ia its place ? L would also ask. to be allowed ink-wells, to fit desks, (3 dbz. ink-wells). They can be obtained from Mr Park. , t M. A.
