The Political Situation.
(Tuesday's N.Z. Times.) As far as we can gather, there has been very little it any progi ess made since yesterday m the formation of a Ministry. It is certain that no assistance is to be expected from Sir Q-eorge Grey or his followers; JUnder certain couditions Mr MdntgoYuery and Mr Macandrew are willing to act with Sir Julius Yogel, bit -nothing^ has been definitely settled either -^ith those two gentlemen, or- with any of the other members of the Opposition. Bnt we still believe that Sir -Julius will succeed m his eudeayours^andrffc is said tha^heJexpiects tfo compete, his arrangements to-day. On the other hand; rumour has. it thatf ibh Thviu&i H day further time will, be asked for. Mr Stout, who was called .away by urgent professional engagements,- U, expected tpi'eturn on Friday.,: / J
