School Committee.
A meeting of the above was held yesterday. Present : Messrs Lrary, Russell, Stewart, Wright and Hawkins. ft was resolved that the Chairman he requested to desire the Inspector to appoint a local person for the place of pupil teacher at Terrace End if a suitable one. can bo found. Mr Leary stated that Miss Blair and Miss Maclrin had resigned. Resolved that the Committee express their regret at the resignation of Miss Blair and Miss Mnckin and that the secretary write to them to that effect. Jfe school repairs — Resolved that the Committee think the account of Messrs Platt and Co., is excessive and that the Secretory, "Chairman and master arrange the payment. Tbe Inspector's report read and received. Mr Steward's circular read and received and the committee decided to take no action. The secretary was requested to write to the Board stating that Miss Blair and Miss Mackin have resigned and requested them to call for applications to fill the positions. Application received from Mis? Dillon foi position of assistant m lVimerston. North School. Applicant to be referred to the Boaid. The Repot ts of Master and Visiting Committee will appear to-mor-row.
