CRICKET.
Otago v. Tasmania. (by telegraph.) (united press association.) DuNEDtN, February 2. The Cricket match, Tasmania v. Otago, was played to-day. The ground was soft after the heavy rain, and it was considered a mistake of the Tasmanian captain (Davies 1 , who won the tosf, to go m first. Play was continued till half-past 6 o'clock, The following are the scores f>r the day: — Tasmaniflns, Ist Innings, 40; 2nd Inning?, total for 2 wickets 13; Otago, Ist Innings, 65.
