A special meeting of the Oroua County Council will be held at the Counoil oifice, Feilding, on Monday next at noon. According to the Marton paper Mr F. Parkes, master of the Turakina public school, proceeded to Wellington on Thursday iast to receive Holy Orders m the Anglican Church. Mr Parkes will con* tinue to hold his position aa a teacher under the Education Board for at least twelve months, after which he will take a parish. Mr Parkes, it *vill be remembered was formerly a Wesleyan minister, and was stationed m the Sarrdon ; district.
