' An amendment m favor of continuing was moved and carried. After a discussion as to the best means of arojnsing interest m the institution, office-hearers were elected, and the date ot the annual gathering fixed. A man named Drury " went on the spree" with a companion named Barned. The former changed j£ 10 m an hotel, and on leaving Barne's BBked him to counfcit^He did so, when Barnes snatched it and ran off. He was afterwards captured, but hnd m the meantime .planted the money. He has been brought up] and remanded. Gisbobne, August 2. The • foolbal 1 match, Gisborne v. Napier, resulted m favor of Gisborne by one gral.and one try' to nil. Gisborno played two "short after the game had been started. •
