Pox is also to present to his. Majesty, if he will accept the gift, his new carved house m" the pa, which he has erected at great .cost. . The feast wil Ibe inaugurated an d accompanied by a song of welcome and dancing, and will be bronght to a close by the largest war dance that has ever been witnessed m this district . The I natives are now assembling- m la^ge numbers, and from rumours that have renched here, it is estimated that several thousand will be present at the feast to welcome His Majesty. Ihis is an opportunity not likely to occur again, and tourists and others who bave a love of the curipus should ; not miss -.the occasion, but make arrangements, to attend this native gathering., No doubt special . arrangements will be made b"th by steamer and coach to meet the occasion. We shall be en fete, and this event is of sufficient; interest to warrant our expectations that many strangers will Visit Maketu.
