The Wesleyan Church.

The Rev. Mr Morley preached to a crowded house m the new Wesleyau Church last evening. The rev. gentleman's discourse was listened to with wrapt attention by his hearers. Previous to commencing the sermon, . Mr Morley stated that his present visit to this district was m connection with the - Ohnrch Building Loan Fund, a matter which be would refer to more fully at the public meeting to be held on the following (Monday) evening. He stated it was the intention of the Wesleyan body to endeavour to raise a fund of £10,000 by subscriptions and otherwise extending over two years. The projected fond to be used for the purpose qf lending to those churches whica were m debt free of interest, thereby removing a heavy drag under which ■ many of" the churches were at present labouring, ihe fund would ba operated on as soon aa £2,000 had been subscribed.
