Strange Disclosures.

I Wangaaui PaperJ; :.' A meeting of the creditors of Mr L, L. Levy was held a few days ago at Mr Potei- Bell's, office. The meeting has been, convened by the trustee, Mr William Dakers, and a large number of creditors were present. Mr Cook, on behalf of the friends of the debtor, submitted an offer of 10s m the poujnd : which, m the face of cerraii facts wiiich had come to the knowledgde of the trustee, was unanimously rejected.,. The meeting agreed, however, to sell , the I esta'e to Mr Levys friends, provided a ! higher price than 10s m the* pound. was paid. It was pretty generally /under* stood that, unless the debtor come to some terms: of the sort, very lively pro* ceedings will take place. The meeting then adjourned. A proof of debt was handed m yesterday by Mr George Boss on behalf of his wife. The amount claimed is L 63, the value of a diamond pin and other jewellery atledged to have been deposited b*y Mrs George Koas (then Mrs Clarke, and residing at Turakina) with Mr Levy as security for an advance of Lib and LI interest. Mrs Boss alleges that although she has several times tendered the amount of the loan and interest, she had never been able to get baofc .. the jewellery.
