In the Resident Magistrate's Court to-day six persons were summoned for not having their children vaccinated within the time prescribed by the Act Three pleaded guilty, and were fined, and the other three charges were withdrawn, it having been proved that the children's health would not admit of their being vaccinated with safety. DuNEDitf, Feb. 14. The tender of . Messrs. Stocks and Clark, of Christchurcb, has been accepted for 'the deep stream contract on the Otago Central Railway . The amount is £25,273. A meeting of shareholders of the Iron Sand Company was held last night, when the report recommending another call ot 2s 6d per share was authorised, which would leave a balance of £350, which was authorised to be used m having another trial at the works under the management of Mr Haskett. Christohurch, Feb. 14. At the annual meeting of the Canterbury Saleyards Company, a dividend of 8 per cent for the half-year, making 14 per cent., for the year, was declared.
